Next year, SteelHeart will celebrate the 30th Anniversary of their self titled debut album “SteelHeart” released in 1989. The album gave the band immediate commercial success reaching #40 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album quickly hit platinum status internationally, and gold domestically. The power ballad, “She’s Gone” hit #1 on the international charts, staying there 17 weeks. The second single, “I’ll Never Let You Go (Angel Eyes)” reached #14 on the Billboard charts.
For 30 years SteelHeart has been Rock’n the world with their sensational music and globe trotting, high octane, live performances. After releasing 5 studio albums, the latest being the highly acclaimed “Through Worlds Of Stardust“; SteelHeart is gearing up for a release of their 30th Anniversary Best Of compilation album.
In an effort to make this truly a celebration, lead vocalist and founder, Miljenko Matijevic has invited Steelheart’s extended family of friends and fans to get involved:
“Steelheart has been a big part of my life. All in all it’s been one hell of a journey! We are very excited to be putting this commemorative project together… and we are asking our fans to please join us in this once in a lifetime celebration.
We want to know your favorite SteelHeart songs, to include on the best of album. Also, we want to hear your ideas about what we should include in the commemorative package. We’d love to hear your anecdotes, see photos and videos from 1989 thru 2019, for possible inclusion in the package. The idea is that the Best Of is created by the fans for the fans. Once we have our track listing, all songs will be re-recorded and streamed live on our social platforms. Ok – lets have fun and re-create some history in your honor.”
The Commemorative Package will consist of many amazing items, like vintage posters, photos, a silver pendent and many surprise items to be announced at a later date; also included Best Of SteelHeart album. The complete package will be released on SteelHeart Records.
