THE BEST SHOW IN VOODOO, BAR NONE!
Miljenko Matijevic may very well be the closest singer you'll ever see or hear to capture the essence of Jim Morrison. Amazing stage presence, great voice, all the subtle nuances, just amazing. Ray and Robbie were impeccable. The band was spot on perfect. I had guests coming up to me say "thank you" for putting on this show. That never happens and not just one or two, at least five, very weird. The audience was electrified, just into it. Never have we had a show this exciting and able to connect with the audience the way these guys did. Just awesome.

Great job in Boston last night, gents! Highlight of the evening for me was "When the music's over." I thought you nailed it perfectly, but the fist bump between Robby and Mili spoke louder than I could cheer at the top of my lungs. Well done!

~The Manzarek/Krieger Band was the only band set to play for us that night. It was clear everyone was excited to see some 60's rock legends blow the roof off the joint. The show was supposed to start at 8. It was at least a half hour later before the lights were lowered at which point the P.A. speakers began playing Carl Orff's classical piece Carmina Burana. This piece is notable for its inclusion in Oliver Stone's film The Doors and because it is so emotionally stirring due to the rhythms and chanting that continually build upon each other until you feel an eruption is imminent. The crowd certainly did erupt as Carmina Burana reached a climax and a bright strobe type light appeared at the back of the stage in effect blinding the anxious fans in the darkened room as we caught our first glimpse of Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger along with the rest of the band. The musicians took their respective places on stage and Robby launched into the always crowd pleasing Roadhouse Blues. The riff alone made everyone in the crowd seem to go insane. That's when vocalist Miljenko Matijevic made his presence known. Filling Jim's leather pants is no easy task for anyone, so naturally I was a bit skeptical that this guy would do it justice. I must say I was 100% satisfied with the performance he gave the entire duration of the show. Matijevic didn't dress like Morrison, he didn't try to pose like Morrison, he didn't try to be Morrison in anyway. He did however sing, and scream, and stimulate the audience with every ounce of energy he could muster. And it was more than enough to be successful. He sang the songs well and sound enough like Morrison that when you closed your eyes for a brief moment you could envision Jim on the stage. Every song they played was an instantly recognizable Doors classic. Manzarek and Krieger have not lost a thing over the years. These guys were masters of their craft back in the 60's and it's hard to think that they could get any better but they have. Each song was faithful enough to the album versions that people could sing along but Ray and Robby being the creative forces they obviously are added new touches to their solos and overall performances on each song.

Fantastic Door's show w/original members awesome keyboardist Ray Manzarek and super guitarist/songwriter Robby Kreiger! Front man Miljenko Matijevic (Steelheart) performed their hits to perfection, not to replicate Morrison (who could EVER do That??) adding his own power and twists to the group.....he's one talented and sexy dude. Got high just breathing the air.

What a great show in AC last night All the songs were done with perfection, and brought back all the memories we had hoped of in wanting to recreate seeing a band that neither Dawn nor I had seen in our youth. The show was nothing short of spectacular, and I would highly recommend this show to anyone who loves the sound and the music of the Doors. To miss this show, especially with Mili doing the vocals, is to miss Jim Morrison reincarnated for a killer 2-hour show
